JAL SHAKTI ABHIYAN CELEBRATION


Delhi Public School, Knowledge Park V, Greater Noida enthusiastically observed Jal Pakhwada 16–30 April 2026  under the nationwide Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain campaign with the theme “Every Drop Counts – Be the Change, Save the Future.” The celebration began with the “Jal Sankalp” pledge during the morning assembly, where students of classes VI to XII pledged to become responsible water guardians. Various activities were organized for classes VI to VIII, including slogan writing, poster making, and essay writing competitions focused on water conservation and sustainable water management. These engaging activities enhanced students’ awareness and encouraged them to adopt practical measures for saving water, making the initiative a meaningful and impactful step toward building environmentally conscious citizens.

    The Investiture Ceremony of Delhi Public School Knowledge Park V was commemorated on April 30, 2026, with great enthusiasm and dignity. The programme commenced with the formal welcome of the distinguished guests, followed by the auspicious lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The Principal, Ms. Manju Verma, addressed the gathering, inspiring students to uphold the values of leadership and integrity.
    The Chief Guest, Col. Ashwin Nagpal, along with other honoured guests, conferred badges upon the newly elected Head Boy, Head Girl, and members of the Student Council. The oath-taking ceremony reinforced their commitment to duty and responsibility. The event was further enriched by melodious choir and graceful dance performances.
    The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and the National Anthem, leaving a lasting impression on all present.

      EXPRESSIVE ART THERAPY ACTIVITIES (CLASSES I & II)

      EXPRESSIVE ART THERAPY ACTIVITIES (CLASSES I & II)


      Students of Classes I and II participated in engaging expressive art therapy sessions, “My Mindful Mountain” and “Scribble Unscramble”. The activities provided a safe, nurturing environment for children to explore and express their emotions freely. Through mindful art practices, students learned to identify and name their feelings, understanding that all emotions are natural. They were guided to manage challenging emotions like anger or sadness using simple techniques such as deep breathing and creative expression. The session encouraged self-awareness, emotional regulation, and reflection, helping children build a positive connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions while feeling supported and understood.

        PSAT CONDUCTION

        On April 29th, the Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test (PSAT) was conducted for students in Grades 8–11. Students in Grades 8 and 9 took the PSAT 8/9, while those in Grade 10 and 11 took the PSAT 10. The process followed a structured sequence to ensure all information was disseminated clearly to stakeholders.
        Pre-Test Coordination - The administration began with an informational webinar for parents and students hosted by Ms. Mehak Verma from the College Board to explain the benefits of the assessment. Following this, a feedback form was shared to identify interested students. Based on these responses, the school moved forward with the test. Preparation included sharing consent forms, circulars, and toolkits, alongside online and offline meetings to guide students through the steps and clear any doubts.
         
         
        Logistics and Makeup Sessions Students brought their own devices for the digital test. These devices were collected by the school counselor before the exam and remained in the counselor's possession until dispersal. For students who were absent on the primary date, a makeup session was conducted the following day.

          The Inter-DPS National Cricket Tournament Boys (Open) – 2026, hosted at DPS Mathura Road, saw participation from 22 DPS schools, providing a competitive platform for showcasing cricketing skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The DPS Knowledge Park-V Senior Boys Team participated with great enthusiasm and team spirit. They played three matches, securing a tie against DPS Rajnagar, a 7-wicket victory over DPS Rajnagar Extension, and facing defeat against DPS Noida Sector 30. The tournament enhanced players’ discipline, leadership, and match temperament. Participants included Dhairyash Singh (VIII-F), Swastik Singh (IX-D), Avi Shukla (X-B), Nivaan Mahesh (X-E), Gagan Saini (X-E), Parth Gurjar (XI-C), Sarvagya Garg (XII-B), Devansh Shukla (XII-B), Aman Mishra (XII-F), Md.             NAMASTE DEUTSCHLAND 2026


            Held at DPS Gurgaon, Namaste Deutschland 2026 celebrated the DACHL theme and brought together over 1,500 students from 86 schools, showcasing the growing enthusiasm for German language learning. The event was graced by Dr. Philipp Ackermann, German Ambassador to India, who described language learners as “little ambassadors,” and Ms. Alexandra Mittler, Director of the Goethe-Institut, who reaffirmed continued support for German education. A team of 21 students represented the school with great enthusiasm, achieving first place in the Escape Room competition (Vihaan Verma, Vyaan Bhardwaj, and Trissha Gupta) and participating in events like Treasure Hunt and Spell Bee. Students also engaged in workshops on poster making, comic design, German baking, theatre, film screenings, and higher education opportunities in Germany. The event provided a rich platform for cultural exchange and experiential learning, making it a memorable and successful celebration of language and global connection.

              CLASS 6 SOFT BOARD COMPETITION

              CLASS 6 SOFT BOARD COMPETITION
              Theme: “Our Earth, Our Responsibility”

               

              The Class 6 Soft Board Competition was organized with the objective of promoting environmental awareness and nurturing creativity among students. The theme for the event, “Our Earth, Our Responsibility,” emphasized the importance of collective efforts in protecting and preserving our planet.
              Students from all sections actively participated, each working on a specific sub-theme. 
              Sections A and E focused on “Save Trees, Save Earth,” highlighting the need for afforestation. Sections B and F worked on “Reduce Plastic, Save Oceans,” spreading awareness about plastic pollution. 
              Sections C and G presented “Wildlife Conservation,” showcasing the importance of protecting biodiversity.
              Sections D and H explored “Sustainable Habits for a Greener Earth,” encouraging eco-friendly lifestyles.
              The students displayed great enthusiasm and teamwork, creating visually appealing and meaningful soft board displays using eco-friendly materials. Their work reflected creativity, originality, and a strong sense of responsibility towards the environment.
              The competition was judged by Ms. Renu Rai ma’am and Deepali ma’am, who evaluated the displays based on relevance to the theme, creativity and originality, presentation and neatness, use of eco-friendly materials, teamwork and participation, and clarity of message.
              The results of the competition were as follows:


              First Position: Class 6E
              Second Position: Class 6F
              Third Position: Class 6H


              Overall, the competition was a great success, inspiring students to think creatively and act responsibly towards the environment. It reinforced the idea that every small step contributes to a greener and healthier Earth.

                Our school skating team of 14 students has participated in – 1st INTER SCHOOL ROLLER SKATING COMPETITION to be held on April 16, 2026 at CAMBRIDGE SCHOOL INDERAPURAM. 
                We won 3 -GOLD MEDALS and 1-SILVER MEDAL in INDIVIDUAL RACES. Therefore, Our DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, KNOWLEDGE PARK-V proudly holds OVER ALL WINNERS TROPHY in the medal tally.

                  PRE NUR & NUR


                  Pre-Nursery and Nursery Wings celebrated Baisakhi on 13 April 2026 with great enthusiasm, expressing gratitude for our farmers’ hard work. The day began with a special assembly where all the Nursery learners gathered to understand the significance of the festival. This was followed by energetic dances on lively Bhangra beats.
                  Nursery learners also participated in a creative craft activity, using pistachio shells to make corn crops and enjoying colouring, making the experience fun and meaningful.
                  In the Pre-Nursery wing, little learners stepped into the spirit of Baisakhi through a joyful discussion, followed by cheerful dance moves. Their excitement continued as they explored different grains in a fun sensory activity and created colourful kites, letting their imagination soar. The celebration not only spread festive cheer but also helped in developing important life skills such as creativity, coordination, sensory exploration & appreciation for nature and farmers’ efforts.

                   

                  PREP

                  Prep students joyfully celebrated the harvest festival through a series of engaging experiences that connected learning with real life. The celebration began with “Guess the Harvest Treasure!” where children explored bajra and jowar grains and learned about farmers and healthy food. Through the story The Enormous Turnip, they understood how crops grow with care and teamwork. In Little Farmers Speak, children confidently shared about crops, followed by an energetic Bhangra corridor drill that added festive cheer. Creativity blossomed during the wheat crop cut-and-paste craft, and the day concluded with a reflection circle where children expressed gratitude towards farmers, food, and nature, making the celebration meaningful, joyful, and memorable.

                   

                  CLASS I

                  On 13.04.2026, Grade 1 students celebrated Baisakhi with great enthusiasm and joy. The activity aimed to introduce the cultural significance of Indian festivals while promoting social skills, creativity, and participation. Children came dressed in vibrant traditional attire, creating a festive atmosphere in the classroom. They engaged in a fun craft activity, making festive-themed artwork that encouraged creativity and connection with the harvest festival. This was followed by a lively dance session on Punjabi music, where students enjoyed the spirit of togetherness. In the special activity “Grain in My Tiffin,” students brought healthy food made from wheat, rice, or millets, shared it with peers, and spoke a few lines about their food, building awareness about nutrition and grains. The celebration helped students understand Baisakhi as a festival of harvest, happiness, and unity while developing confidence, cooperation, and self-expression.

The day started with engaging circle time, helping children become familiar with their surroundings, teachers, and peers, followed by a lively dance session. Learners participated enthusiastically in fun games and creative activities like the “My Dream School” craft and wore “Happy First Day” badges. The celebration encouraged bonding, confidence, and happiness, allowing children to create their first cheerful memories while fostering friendships and setting a positive tone for the year ahead.

                      WELCOME ASSEMBLY

                      WELCOME ASSEMBLY


                      The Welcome Assembly for the new academic session 2026-27 was conducted by the Middle Wing of DPS, KPV with remarkable enthusiasm and elegance on Thursday, 2nd April 2026. The programme commenced with a warm and gracious introduction in both English and Hindi, setting a celebratory tone. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising the triumph of knowledge over ignorance. A melodious Hindi welcome song enlivened the atmosphere. The Thought of the Day, presented in Sanskrit with its Hindi interpretation, offered profound insight. The Ganesh Vandana dance added a touch of cultural and spiritual richness.
                      A nostalgic PowerPoint presentation revisiting the memories of 2025–26 captivated the audience, followed by a moral value-based English poem that inspired the audience with its reflective message, and a soulful English song. The introduction of the Star Mentors of Classes 6 and 7 acknowledged and celebrated student excellence. The highlight of the assembly was the inspiring address by the Principal Ma’am, who narrated the meaningful story of the cracked vessel. Through this story, she motivated students to embrace their imperfections and recognise that every individual is unique and valuable in their own way.
                      The assembly concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks.
