SOCIAL SCIENCE EXHIBITION THEMED “स्वाधीनता से समृद्धि तक

The Social Science Exhibition themed “स्वाधीनता से समृद्धि तक” took visitors on a vibrant journey through the many facets of freedom, from political independence and social equality to economic empowerment and freedom of expression. Students brought history to life with models, charts, and interactive displays, highlighting struggles, change-makers, and ongoing fights for freedom. Activities included the Voice of India Wall with slogans and quotes, Young Minds, Big Solutions logo designs, Art Resistance—an artistic tribute to freedom, India: Then and Now showcasing the nation’s progress, Games of Freedom testing patriotism and creativity, and Journey of Flags illustrating India’s evolution through its flags. The exhibition was a creative dialogue celebrating freedom’s past, present, and future aspirations.

    VAADYA TARANGINI – INTER DPS INDIAN CLASSICAL ORCHESTRA


    Delhi Public School, Knowledge Park-V hosted Vaadya Tarangini 2025, the Inter DPS Indian Classical Orchestra Festival, with great enthusiasm on 30th August. Showcasing performances on sitar, tabla, bansuri, sarangi, and santoor by teams from across the country, the event highlighted students’ talent and devotion to Indian classical music. Sixteen teams out of 46 reached the finale, graced by Chief Guest Mr. V. K. Shunglu,I.A.S. (Retd) ,Vice Chairman, the DPS Society, and Guest of Honour Mrs. Madhu Shunglu. A special Nritya Tarana dance dedicated to Pt. Birju Maharaj left the audience spellbound, and winners were felicitated by dignitaries. The festival concluded with heartfelt gratitude to all judges, guests, and coordinators for making the event a grand success.

      SPACE INDIA- POSTER PRESENTATION COMPETITION

      Kiaan Rautela (Class VIII) represented the school at the Poster Presentation Competition held at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture, New Delhi, during the National Space Day 2025 celebrations. The event, jointly organised by SPACE India and the Russian House, followed the theme “Viksit Bharat in Orbit: Leading the New Space Race,” inspired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s address in Mann Ki Baat.
      Kiaan was the final presenter among participants who each had two minutes to showcase their posters. The event also featured speeches by dignitaries and a documentary on Yuri Gagarin, offering students an enriching experience in space science and STEM learning.

        DISTRICT- LEVEL DELIBERATIONS STEM EXPERT-LED SESSION

        The District-Level Deliberations STEM Expert-Led Session was held on 23rd August 2025 at Delhi Public School, Knowledge Park V, with participation from 40 educators across 17 schools. The session aimed to deepen understanding of STEM education, explore innovative teaching methods, and encourage collaboration among educators. Three distinguished speakers—Ms. Akanksha Arora, Dr. Ruchi Garg, and Ms. Renu Sharma—shared valuable insights on experiential learning, emerging technologies, and leadership in promoting STEM. The session highlighted the integration of AI, robotics, and coding in the curriculum, emphasizing student-centered learning and teacher capacity building. Educators actively engaged in discussions and agreed on forming a district-level STEM educators’ network for continued collaboration and resource sharing. The event concluded on a positive note, inspiring participants to adopt creative, technology-driven approaches in their classrooms. The session successfully met its objectives, strengthening the commitment to enhance STEM learning in schools across the district.

          LEARNING BEYOND WALLS: HANDS ON MINDS ON - EXHIBITION

          The exhibition aimed to promote creativity, experiential and collaborative learning, critical thinking, and effective communication among students of Grade 1 and 2. By engaging in hands-on, interdisciplinary activities across subjects like English, Hindi, Mathematics, EVS, and STEM, students gained deeper understanding and real-life application of concepts. The event encouraged self-expression, confidence, and teamwork while fostering curiosity and problem-solving skills. It also served as a platform for parents to witness their children's holistic development and active participation in the learning process beyond textbooks, making education a more joyful and meaningful experience.

            Nursery students participated in a fun home-based activity titled “My Table, My Mat!” Aimed at teaching table manners and boosting parent-child bonding, children teamed up with parents to design creative table mats. They used colours, patterns, and wrote their names, sparking cheerful conversations about etiquette. The handmade mats are now proudly used during school lunchtime.

Anaisha Gupta (Class IV) secured the 1st position, while Arni Shukla (Class V) was honoured as the Best Speaker.                 The Champions Challenge Interschool Athletic Tournament was held on 22nd August 2025 at Greater Valley School, Greater Noida, providing a dynamic platform for young athletes to display their talent and sportsmanship. Students from DPS KP-V, Greater Noida, participated in the U-14 and U-16 categories alongside ten schools from Noida and Greater Noida, promoting healthy competition and athletic growth. Notable performances included Yashdeep class 11 who secured 3rd position in the U-16 Boys 100m race.

                  DPS KP-V participated in the CBSE Clusters North Zone I Swimming Competition 2025–26, hosted by Shri Ram Global School, Knowledge Park-V, on 18th & 21st August. Five girls—Aarohi Chaudhary (IX), Kiara Dutta (IX), Angel Jha (IX), Kaveesha Verma (VII), and Tanvi Divyanshi (VIII)—represented the school with grit and determination. The highlight was the Bronze medal won by the relay team (Aarohi, Kiara, Angel & Kaveesha) in the 4×100m Freestyle Relay, bringing pride to the school.

                    The Art of Speaking inter-class debate competition for Class IV was held on 20th August 2025, featuring 22 finalists selected from preliminary rounds. Students presented well-structured arguments on topics like the role of robots, the impact of technology, and the relevance of homework, with each participant speaking for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Judged by Ms. Taslima Khan from The Economic Times and Dr. Nidhi Navin Sharma, the event focused on speaking skills, logical flow, and effective language. Nivaan Singhal secured the First Position, followed by Dakshesh (Second) and Yuvaan Haryani (Third), while Vatsal Singh, Vedant, and Ayaansh received consolation prizes.

                        On 19th August 2025, DPS Knowledge Park-V took part in the 6th Prabhjot Baruah Memorial Inter-School English Debate at DPS Mathura Road on the topic “Smart Gadgets Make People Dull.” Atharv Mishra (Class V) spoke against the motion, while Aniasha Rawat (Class IV) supported it. Though they didn’t win, both impressed with their clarity and confidence. The event was a great platform to enhance public speaking and critical thinking skills.

                          From 8th July to 15th August 2025, DPS KP-V organized a Stamp Design Competition on the theme UN@80 for Classes IX–XII, as per CBSE guidelines. Students created original artwork showcasing creativity and expression. The five best entries were uploaded to the MyGov portal, with the national-winning design to be released as an official postage stamp on 24th October 2025.

                            The Scholar Badge Ceremony, held on 14 August 2025, honoured nearly 360 achievers of Classes VI–VIII for their academic excellence in session 2024–25.                               The inter-school competition Kaleidoscope – Inspiring the Inner Self was held on 12th and 13th August 2025 at Delhi Public School, Gautam Budh Nagar, where students from Nursery to Class V of DPS Knowledge Park-V showcased their exceptional talent and creativity across a range of events. Participating in both group and solo categories, our students demonstrated enthusiasm, teamwork, and confidence, making us proud with their commendable achievements. Highlights included 1st position in Artistic Alchemy (Prisha Mishra, Rithvik Sharma), 2nd in Eco Innovators (Krishang Randhawa), and 3rd positions in events like Unspoken Tides, Backward Bards, Shaurya Gatha, Dress to Tell, Amrit Vani, and Rangoli Frenzy. The group Nrityanjali won the award for Best Choreography, adding to the glory.

                                    On 12th August, our Nursery class celebrated Independence Day with great joy and enthusiasm. The stage was beautifully decorated with tricolour balloons and flags, and our little ones looked adorable in saffron, white, and green outfits. The assembly began with a warm welcome and a simple thought of the day, followed by energetic performances of patriotic songs and rhymes. The highlight was a delightful dance where tiny feet moved with excitement to a patriotic tune. The celebration ended with everyone singing the national anthem, filling young hearts with pride and love for the country.

                                        Mega Tinkering Day is a special event conducted in collaboration with AIM and various participating schools, where students explore, create, and showcase innovative projects using Atal Tinkering Lab resources. Aimed at fostering innovation, hands-on learning, and problem-solving skills, the event encourages students to engage with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through practical, DIY-based activities. Our Class VII students participated with great enthusiasm, learning the principle behind the working of a vacuum pump through hands-on experimentation. The event not only sparked creativity and innovation among young minds but also raised awareness about important issues like cleanliness, providing a meaningful platform for students to think critically and apply their learning in real-world contexts.

Playing six rounds in a league format, the team registered wins against BLS Greater Noida West, Shiv Nadar School (twice), Pacific World School, and Somerville School, along with a draw against Delhi World Public School. Their strong performance secured 2nd place overall for DPS KP-V.

Our school team played with great energy, teamwork, and determination, making it to the Quarter-Finals. They showed strong coordination and a fighting spirit in every match. The tournament gave them a chance to compete, learn, and grow as young athletes. It was a proud and inspiring experience that boosted their confidence and love for football. The team is now motivated to work harder for future competitions.

Students from various sections enthusiastically participated in the lucky draw, with ballot boxes placed in each classroom to encourage widespread involvement. The winners were proudly announced and were given the special opportunity to be photographed with the Headmistress, making it a memorable and cherished moment for all.

                                                The Inter House Badminton Competition for girls of Grades 7 and 8 was held in the Indoor Badminton Court, HRDC across three days, on 10 July, 15 July & 8 Aug 2025 following selection trials. Five players were selected from each house, and matches were played in a best-of-five format with 11-point singles. After intense rounds, Chenab House emerged as the winner, defeating Ganga House in the finals. Ravi House secured third place, and Satluj House placed fourth. The event showcased great enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit among the students.

                                                  The students of Prep A conducted a special assembly on the theme "Friendship" to celebrate the bond between friends. The program began with a melodious song that set a joyful tone, followed by a graceful dance performance. Together, they beautifully conveyed the true meaning of friendship and highlighted its importance in our lives through love, trust, and togetherness.

                                                    On 5th August 2025, 22 students of DPS KP-V participated in the Inter-School Roller Skating Competition at Indraprastha Global School, Noida. Our skaters clinched 4 Gold, 4 Silver, and 1 Bronze, with standout performances by Manishika Ojha, Adhrit Yadav, Tajal Bisth, and Ishani Saikia (Gold medalists). DPS KP-V proudly secured the Overall Second Runner-Up Trophy in the medal tally.

                                                      On 4th August 2025, Pre-Nursery students and their parents participated in a joyful home-based activity – Apron Making, under the Parent Involvement Program. Using dad’s old T-shirts, families created personalized aprons with paints, fabric colours, and craft materials. The activity celebrated creativity, teamwork, and bonding, while aligning with the theme of Food. Children proudly wore their handcrafted aprons and shared their creations with peers. This heart-warming initiative beautifully showcased the power of parental involvement in early childhood learning.

                                                        Delhi Public School, Knowledge Park–V proudly participated in the CBSE North Zonal Taekwondo Championship (Girls) 2025–26, held at S.G. Public School, Vasundhara, Uttar Pradesh, from 30th July to 3rd August 2025. Representing the school with determination and discipline, Khushi Raina of Class X competed in the Under-17 category (46kg–49kg weight class), displaying commendable skill, perseverance, and sportsmanship.

                                                          Our School participated in the CBSE Cluster XIX North Zone-I Tennis Championship held at Billabong High International School, Noida, from 30th July to 2nd August 2025. Nine students represented the school across U-14 and U-17 categories. While the boys’ teams displayed strong effort and sportsmanship, the girls’ U-14 team impressed by reaching the Quarter Finals, showcasing skill and determination. The tournament was a valuable learning experience, boosting confidence and inspiring all participants to continue striving for excellence in sports. The event truly reflected the school’s commitment to holistic development through competitive sports.

                                                            On 2nd August 2025, friendly Pickleball and Basketball matches were held between DPS Knowledge Park-V and DPS Mathura Road at the host school, DPS Mathura Road. Both events provided valuable platforms for players to refine their skills, teamwork, and strategies in a spirited and sportsmanlike atmosphere. The matches boosted morale, highlighted key areas for improvement, and proved to be enriching and memorable experiences for all involved.

                                                              The Interschool Yoga Competition was held at Indraprastha Global School, Ghaziabad, on 2nd August 2025, featuring Under-16 boys and girls categories. Our school participated in the Under-16 (girls) category. Although they narrowly missed a top-three position, their performance reflected strong team spirit and perseverance. The event saw vibrant participation from various schools across the region. Representing our school were Nia Jasrotia -III, Aarohi Singh (III), Aadvika Gangwar (III), Aanya Gupta (VI), Parnika Dwivedi (VI), and Mehul Gupta (VI).

                                                                Delhi Public School, Knowledge Park-V hosted its first annual career fair, मार्गदर्शन 2025, on August 2, 2025, for students of Classes VI–XII. Over 50 universities from India and abroad guided students on admissions, scholarships, and career opportunities through interactive sessions. Pre-event activities, including the themed competition “Unlock the Hidden Doors” and daily PA announcements, built enthusiasm. Chief Guest Dr. Shailaja Donempudi, Distinguished Scientist, CSIR–New Delhi, inspired students with her message on innovation and perseverance. The event, covered by Jagran Josh and The Hindu, empowered students to explore future pathways and make informed choices.

                                                                  The Astronomy Club conducted two engaging sessions that blended theory with hands-on learning. In the Kalpana module, 15 students built Barn Door Trackers with Mr. Sharukh, gaining practical experience in astrophotography and celestial tracking. Meanwhile, in the Krittika module, 31 students explored rocket science fundamentals with Mr. Ravi Kumar by designing and launching hydro rockets. Both sessions sparked scientific curiosity, encouraged teamwork, and were met with great enthusiasm from the students.

                                                                    As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative, DPS Knowledge Park V celebrated the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign from 2nd to 15th August 2025, encouraging students and families to hoist the national flag and instill a sense of unity and pride. Marking 79 years of India’s independence, the school organized a range of meaningful activities across all classes, including Tricolour Craft Station, Voices of Freedom role play, Independence Day Quiz, Letter to the Nation, Storytelling – Unsung Heroes, and Freedom@79: A Reality Check. These activities sparked patriotic fervour, deepened awareness of India’s freedom struggle, and inspired students to value their nation’s legacy. The campaign fostered a strong sense of national pride, making the celebration both impactful and memorable.
