The Art of Speaking Competition for Grade II was held on 30 January 2026 as an inter-class event, where 18 shortlisted students confidently showcased their speaking skills. The programme began with a welcome dance, followed by expressive performances and an engaging riddle session. The competition aimed to build confidence, improve communication and pronunciation skills, overcome stage fear, and encourage creativity and a love for public speaking.

 

The students of Prep celebrated Basant Panchami with great excitement and joy. The day began with a Saraswati Pooja, where the children prayed and sought blessings. The little ones then listened to a story about the importance of Basant Panchami. As part of the celebration, the children happily made a lotus flower using tear-and-paste activity, making the day colourful and enjoyable.

 

The Pre-Nursery and Nursery Wing celebrated Vasant Panchami with the theme “Bloom with Knowledge!”, beginning with a prayer to Goddess Saraswati and chanting “Hey Sharde Maa.” Children engaged in creative yellow-themed art activities symbolizing knowledge and positivity and offered yellow flowers in devotion. The celebration fostered respect for learning, cultural awareness, and expressive creativity, making the occasion joyful and enriching for young learners.

 

The students of Prep celebrated Republic Day with great excitement and joy. The day began with a fun story that helped the children understand why Republic Day is celebrated. The little ones happily recited Hindi patriotic shlokas and expressed their love for the country. Dressed up in tricolour, the children looked bright and cheerful. They also enjoyed making the Indian flag using leaf painting and tear-and-paste activities, making the celebration even more fun and memorable.

 

 

 

Talent Fiesta was organised for Class 1 with the theme “Rangilo Bharat” to celebrate creativity, confidence, and India’s rich cultural diversity in the spirit of the upcoming 77th Republic Day. Students enthusiastically participated in four categories—Steps of Celebration, Heritage Harmony, Threads of Tradition, and Vocal for Local—where they showcased their talents through dance, cultural presentations, traditional attire, songs, and speeches. Dressed in bright and colourful costumes, the children performed confidently on stage, reflecting great enthusiasm and joy. The event helped students develop awareness of India’s diverse traditions while enhancing their communication, presentation, and stage-confidence skills, reinforcing the message of unity in diversity.

 

On January 19, 2026, DPSKPV had the privilege of welcoming Mr. Shyam Bajpai, a distinguished retired IAS officer. The visit highlighted the English Department’s initiatives under the STPP framework through a PPT presentation and a gallery walk showcasing grade-wise student work—summarisation (Grade 5), transcribing (Grade 6), paraphrasing (Grade 7), and précis writing (Grade 8).

In an interactive session at the School Library, Mr. Bajpai appreciated the teachers’ enthusiasm and dedication, noting its positive impact on student learning. The Principal, Ms. Manju Verma, apprised him of the school’s continued implementation of his earlier recommendations. The visit concluded with warm appreciation, reaffirming the school’s commitment to holistic education.

 

Lohri / Makar Sankranti was celebrated with joy and enthusiasm by Class 1 students to introduce them to Indian festivals and cultural traditions. The teacher explained the importance of the harvest festival, its different names across India, and traditions such as the bonfire, popcorn, and peanuts. Students then participated in a creative craft activity by making a Lohri bonfire collage using drawing, seeds, popcorn, and matchsticks. The activity made learning fun and helped enhance students’ creativity, imagination, and cultural awareness.

 

A guidance session was held for the students of Class X on 12 January 2026. During the session, subject-wise common mistakes identified in the Pre-Board examinations were discussed, and teachers provided guidance on avoiding them. Tips to improve answer writing and presentation were also shared. Previous year scholars motivated the students by sharing their experiences, and the session concluded with an inspiring address by the Principal, Ms. Manju Verma, encouraging students to give their best in the Board examinations.
