ADDITION USING JODO GYAN BLOCKS

An engaging activity was conducted in Class 1 where students used Jodo Gyan blocks to explore and practice basic addition. Each child was provided with sets of colorful Jodo blocks of different sizes and colors. The teacher introduced simple addition problems, and students solved them by physically combining two sets of blocks and counting the total.

This hands-on method helped students visualize numbers and develop a concrete understanding of addition. The activity encouraged active participation, peer learning, and made mathematical thinking fun and accessible.

CLASS ASSEMBLY ON HEALTHY HABITS

Students of Prep D presented a heartwarming assembly on the theme of “Healthy Habits,” featuring an energetic dance performance and a lively song that highlighted five key healthy habits. They also delivered impactful slogan recitations such as “Be a Hygiene Hero,” “Stay Clean,” and “Eat Right.” With confidence and enthusiasm, the children inspired everyone to adopt a healthier lifestyle, spreading awareness in a fun and engaging way.

PAINT WITH A CRUNCH

As part of an integrated learning experience, the students of Class Prep participated in the “Paint with a Crunch” activity. Using cut vegetables as stamps, they created vibrant patterns on cloth while exploring shapes, symmetry, and repeating sequences—linking art with early numeracy skills. This hands-on activity sparked creativity, enhanced fine motor skills, and deepened their understanding of patterns. The children thoroughly enjoyed the activity and proudly displayed their vibrant artwork in the classroom for everyone to admire.

The students of Prep A presented a heartwarming assembly on the theme of “Happiness,” featuring a soulful prayer, inspiring quotes, a joyful song ‘Happiness is something that you give it away’ and a vibrant dance on ‘I am happy’. With confidence and charm, the children spread smiles and positivity, creating a truly uplifting and memorable celebration of joy that touched every heart and lit up the morning. Their enthusiasm and teamwork made the event truly special.

Good Touch and Bad Touch
“My Body, My Safety”
On 16th and 17th July 2025, an inter-class activity on Good Touch and Bad Touch was conducted for the Pre-Nursery and Nursery students at DPS KP-V, Atrium. The objective was to teach children about body safety in a simple, engaging, and age-appropriate manner.
The session began with the joyful rhyme “I am so special, I have a beautiful body,” helping children build self-worth and body confidence. A puppet show featuring characters Gattu and Chinki followed, which effectively explained how to respond if someone attempts to touch their private parts. Interactive songs like “No-No Square” and “These Are My Private Parts” reinforced important messages through music and movement.
Children learned crucial life skills including personal safety, communication, and assertiveness. They were taught key actions: “No, Scream, Push, Run, Tell.” The activity created a safe space for children to understand boundaries and left them feeling empowered and confident.

Our school swimming team, consisting of 11 students, participated in the Inter-School Swimming Competition held on July 12, 2025, at DWPS School, Noida Extension. We are proud to share that our team won 4 gold medals in the Girls' Freestyle Relay Race.

SQUEEZE. STIR. SIP. SMILE! 
The Nursery Wing celebrated a vibrant Lemonade Party as an intra-class activity to promote healthy habits, collaborative learning, and joyful participation. The classroom was beautifully decorated with cheerful yellow lemon cut outs and summer-themed décor, setting the perfect tone for the day. The little ones enthusiastically took part in making lemonade by squeezing lemons, adding sugar, and stirring water, and thoroughly enjoyed sipping the sweet and tangy drink they prepared on their own. The hands-on experience fostered independence, teamwork, and essential self-help skills like pouring and mixing. It was truly a refreshing and fun-filled day where every child got a chance to Squeeze. Stir. Sip. Smile!

The students of Prep C presented a heartfelt and joyful assembly on the theme "Love." They shared messages highlighting how simple acts of love—like helping a friend or saying “please” and “thank you”—can make a big difference. The assembly concluded with a lively and inspiring dance performance on the song “Choti Si Asha,” spreading love, positivity, and joy.

DPS KP-V celebrated the heartwarming initiative “My Hero Programme” on 11th July, bringing together parents, students, and educators in a unique Book Reading Session titled “Classic Tales” for Grade 3 and “Classic Tales with a Twist” for Grades 4 & 5. The event aimed to inspire young learners and nurture a lifelong love for reading through the engaging presence of parents from diverse walks of life. The event began with a cheerful welcome by the children, followed by a warm address by Headmistress Ms. Nidhi Dua, who sets a joyful tone for the day. Students then showcased their talents through vibrant music and dance performances.

The highlight of the programme was the interactive storytelling sessions, where parents shared classic tales. Grade 3 enjoyed timeless stories, while Grades 4 & 5 experienced creative twists and dramatization. These sessions sparked joy, encouraged a love for reading, and strengthened the bond between parents, teachers, and students.

After the session, parents engaged in a meaningful discussion with the Honourable Principal Ms. Manju Verma and Headmistress Ms. Nidhi Dua, and shared their valuable feedback. The day concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from the Principal, appreciating the parents’ enthusiastic presence and contribution.
