“A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the centre of our universe.”
On March 29, 2025, an orientation session was held at Delhi Public School, Knowledge Park - V to familiarise the new parents of students in grades III - VIII with the school's curriculum, policies and procedures.
Following the ceremonial lamp lighting, the second and third grade students sang a welcoming song to kick off the performance. Ms. Manju Verma, the Principal DPS, KP - V, spoke to the group. The principal urged the parents to speak with their children and explained the institution's goals and objectives. She exhorted every parent to support, engage and remain involved with their child. She addressed the importance of punctuality in our lives and urged parents to spend quality time with their child. Ms. Ridhi Sharma, the school counsellor, gave a perceptive talk about the importance of parental involvement in a child's education.
The Headmistress, Ms. Nidhi Dua, proposed a vote of gratitude to the parents to end the event.
After that, parents went to their individual classes to engage with the subject teachers and class representatives.
