My Hero Program

To celebrate the real heroes in our lives, our parents, My Hero Program was organised in all sections of class VIII on 24Th April 2024, Thursday. Several parents graciously volunteered their time to speak with the students. They shared heartfelt stories about overcoming challenges, helping others, working in the community, and leading with compassion and integrity. Each parent’s story highlighted the many ways someone can be a hero, beyond traditional definitions. The students listened with great enthusiasm, asked thoughtful questions, and engaged deeply with the guests. It was evident that the parents’ stories left a lasting impression on the young minds, encouraging them to reflect on the values of courage, kindness, perseverance, and service.

    Bibliophile Day

    To mark the occasion of World Book Day, the Primary Wing of Delhi Public School, Knowledge Park – V, organized an engaging “Character Parade” for the students of Class III and IV. The event was a delightful celebration of books and imagination, where students came dressed as their favourite characters from beloved storybooks such as Harry Potter, Snow White, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland and Matilda. With great enthusiasm, each child spoke a few lines about the character they embodied, showcasing not only their creativity in costume design but also their understanding of the story. The classrooms were transformed into vibrant storylands, filled with joy, excitement, and literary magic.
    For Class V Students, an engaging intra-section activity titled "Book Theme Pictionary" was organised. The event aimed to foster literary interest and enhance creativity among students. Participants were required to prepare on any two topics from selected genres or well-known books such as Harry Potter, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and The Hobbit. The activity encouraged artistic expression and teamwork by blending art with literature. Evaluation was based on drawing skills, communication, literary knowledge, time management and overall performance.

      Earth Day Celebration – PLANT A HOPE

      The students of Class Prep joyfully celebrated Earth Day with a fun and thoughtful discussion on why our planet- Earth is special and how we can care for it. They shared ideas like saving water, planting seeds, and keeping the Earth clean- learning that even small actions can make a big difference.

      The students of CAM Nursery and CAM Prep visited a local nursery on 22nd April 2025, to celebrate the Earth Day. The field trip was planned as an educational experience to help young learners connect with nature and understand the importance of plants and the environment.The children were filled with excitement and curiosity as they explored the vibrant nursery setting. They observed various plants, interacted with their surroundings, and engaged in hands-on learning. The visit provided a meaningful opportunity to nurture environmental awareness through exploration and joyful experiences.

        Online Orientation Program for Class IX Students

        The Online Orientation Program for newly promoted Class IX students was successfully conducted on 9th April 2025 through Microsoft Teams. The objective of the programme was to familiarize students and their parents with the academic expectations, curriculum structure, and holistic development opportunities available in the new academic year. Approximately 130 parents attended the meeting along with subject teachers.
        The session began with a warm welcome by the Vice-Principal, Ms. Archna Deepak, who emphasized the importance of discipline, consistency, and active participation in the crucial years of secondary education. An introduction to the faculty members and subject teachers followed this.
        The Academic Coordinator, Ms Kavita Shanker, presented a detailed overview of the Class IX syllabus as per CBSE Board guidelines. She highlighted key subjects, assessment patterns, internal assessments, the structure of periodic tests and final examinations, and stream selection criteria.
        The Class Representative, Ms Richa Palni, presented the various school events, inter and intraschool, subject week celebrations, and parents’ involvement program. She also introduced the class IX team to the parents who will be taking care of their ward throughout the year.
        A special segment of the programme focused on the Crowdfunding and College Access Program, presented by Senior Counsellor Ms Sonam Negi. Students were encouraged to maintain a healthy balance between studies and extracurricular activities.
        Parents were also briefed about school policies, attendance protocols, and the importance of parental support in the child's academic journey.
        The Online Orientation Programme for Class IX proved to be a fruitful initiative, helping students and parents feel better prepared and more connected as they embark on a new academic chapter.

          Welcome Assembly (Classes III - V)

          "Believe you can and you're halfway there." - Theodore Roosevelt
          To kick off the new school year on a sunny and upbeat morning a welcome assembly was organised at Delhi Public School, Knowledge Park - V on Monday, 07th April 2025. The purpose of the event was to extend a warm welcome to the students, establish a pleasant atmosphere for the upcoming year and motivate and excite everyone. Adiv Dhiman of class V opened the assembly with a heartfelt prayer, asking for blessings for a happy and prosperous school year. Everyone was able to begin the day with clarity and composure, thanks to the prayer's calming and upbeat ambiance. Class V student Aarvi Duggal then delivered the day's motivational thought.
          The message encouraged everyone to remain focused and resolute in their goals by highlighting the value of hard effort and a positive outlook. The school choir then performed a lovely opening song. The music elevated everyone's spirits and represented fresh starts. It struck a chord with the principles of harmony and oneness. A lively Odia dance performance was then presented to the audience. Everyone was enthralled and proud of their roots as the exquisite dances and traditional clothing highlighted Odisha's rich cultural legacy.
          Next, our esteemed Principal Ma'am gave an inspiring address. She greeted every student, particularly the newcomers and urged them to put in a lot of effort, maintain their discipline, and take use of all the benefits the school offers. She also urged the pupils to be thankful for everything and stressed the value of journaling. The national anthem was sung as the gathering came to a close. In addition to being a kind way to welcome everyone, it also served as a reminder of the principles and objectives the school maintains. The occasion laid a solid and constructive groundwork for the days ahead.

            Welcome Assembly (Classes VI to VIII)

            Welcome Assembly - Class: VI–VIII on 3rd April 2025 in a Talk Show format. Students presented a prayer, song, dance, and interactive segments. The assembly was to warmly welcome students to the new academic session, boost their confidence, and creatively introduce school values and expectations. The activity also aimed to enhance public speaking, expression, and presentation skills through student-led comparing and performances.
