The Students of PREP celebrated the “Earth Day” in the school on 22nd April with a beautiful theme – “My Green Good Deeds.” The main purpose of the celebration is about raising awareness about the importance of protecting our Mother Earth and the ways to do it. The children celebrated it through a series of activities on this day. The children are future of nation, so we need to teach them to care for the planet. Keeping this in mind the teachers told the students why we should protect this planet and what can be the consequences of exploiting and polluting this beautiful planet. They also sang the song “Save the planet “together joyfully. The ramp walk was done by the PREP students wearing self-designed, best eco-friendly costumes representing Mother Earth, with blue and green colours. They also spoke 3-4 lines about our planet Earth and how to live sustainably. The students also actively participated in Bird feeding activity where bird feeder was made from recycled material and was decorated in the class by the students with great zeal and enthusiasm. The bird food was kept in the bird feeder and then it was hanged on a tree. The students were told about the importance of bird feeder and how it helps the birds.
The students enthusiastically celebrated Earth Day. The activities helped students understand the importance of conserving the planet and the ways to do so.
