Mrs. Renu Chaturvedi [M.A, B.Ed., PGCTE (CIEFL), CRWE (IGNOU)]
Mrs. Chaturvedi with an experience of more than forty years in the field of education and pedagogy, has attained a significant experience as a teacher, administrator, author and a teacher-trainer as well.
She has written several books on the communicative approach to teaching of English. Having travelled widely she was associated with the ELT British Council Project as the teacher-trainer and attended a summer school at Durham, U.K. in 1995. An extensive range of official visits to attend several educational conferences and to visit schools and universities abroad in the USA, UK, Germany, Canada, Japan, Thailand, Sweden & Denmark and other such international travels opened new vistas for her educational growth. She has also contributed as the Resource Person appointed by the CBSE for the CCE workshops held across the country.
Mrs. Renu Chaturvedi has been associated with Delhi Public Schools since 1983, having worked at Delhi Public School, Noida for 20 years.
She did her Masters in English from Jaipur University and began her teaching career as a lecturer at the G.D. Girls College at Alwar. She was the founder Principal of Delhi Public School, Meerut and has also contributed as the Principal of other Delhi Public Schools at Bhatinda (Punjab), NTPC Township at Dadri (U.P.) and at DPS Dwarka (New Delhi) before she joined DPS Society office as the Additional Secretary, where she coordinated and monitored the entire gamut of Inter-DPS events & Competitions, alongwith overseeing the administrative responsibilities.
As the Principal of DPS Greater Noida for 10 years and presently as a Director of the most promising school, DPS Knowledge Park-V, she had been leading by example, and committed to make education a joyful and purposeful experience. Her conviction that in this information-rich world and ‘Informed Curiosity’ of the present generation, a multi-dimensional and holistic growth of the students can be ensured by teachers to work to realise better learning outcomes. During her tenure as the head of the schools, she took the amalgamation of academics and co-curricular activities to the other level! For her dynamic teams, the annual functions and events were the occasions to be organised with great alacrity to make the students aesthetically and spiritually sound, shaping them as confident, creative and courageous individuals for the future.
In recognition of her distinguished services and achievements in the field of education, she has been felicitated with innumerable awards – to name a few, the prestigious CBSE Teachers Award-2015, Inspiring Educators Award, Best Teacher Award 2014 by NESA, Amity Excellence Award, Appreciation Award by Rotary International and the best Zonal Principal award by the SOF.
As an educationist, with her innovative and visionary outlook, she endeavours to bring more constructive transformation for the best possible future of school children.
